PostgreSQL Database administrator

SKILLS REQUIRED

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in PostgreSQL administration
• PostgreSQL Architecture, Installation & Configuration
• Perform User access management, schema management, performance tuning
• Creating and Managing PostgreSQL databases
• PostgreSQL index management, Partition and system catalogues
• Backup, Recovery and PITR
• Monitoring database performance, capacities and usage
• Performance tuning and SQL Query Optimization
• Good troubleshooting and communication skills
•  1-2 years of experience in Postgres migration from other RDBMS databases

JOB DESCRIPTION

Maintaining Postgres database
• Creating database objects such as tables, views, triggers, and indexes
• Maintaining the database schema, including creating new tables, adding columns to existing tables, and
  deleting unnecessary tables and data
• Monitoring database performance to identify slowdowns or potential issues
• Managing users and permissions, including adding new users and removing inactive accounts
• Assist the team in migrating data from other RDBMS databases to Postgres
